
Oakleigh State School will VOTE EARTH by supporting Earth Hour on Friday 27th March from 11:30am - 12:30pm and switching off all lights and some appliances.
Parents can support Earth Hour at home on Saturday 28th March from 8:30pm-9:30pm by switching off lights and appliances.
Let's all get involved in this worldwide event as a great way to raise awareness of the benefits of energy saving.

Our year 4 - 7 students voted recently for their school leaders for 2009. A preferential ballot was established and run by the Australian Electoral Office and students voted on their preferred candidates after listening to their speeches. Congratulations to the successful candidates, we know you will do Oakleigh proud in 2009.

The P & C has been successful in its Q150 grant application to produce a calendar, historical booklet (1995-2009) and a photo shoot for the 75th celebration. The next Oakleigh 75 planning meeting is on Sunday 1March 3:00pm in the school hall. Any past and current parents, pupils and staff are welcome. Please bring a plate of food to share if you are able.
