‚ÄčIn the Swift Workshop this week the session began with a reminder to participant about the importance of sequential and specific instructions.

Pairs of students were challenged to complete a Lego building activity with a difference. Utilising only one set of Lego between them they were told that one student was in-charge of construction whilst the other was in charge of the directions of how and what to build.

This resulted in the highlighting of the importance of breaking things down, seeing patterns in their descriptions in order for their instructions to be clearly understood and in abstracting concepts in order to get the job done.

In the next session this activity will be replicated but with the emphasis being on timing.
