In the Swift Workshop this week the session began with a
reminder to participant about the importance of sequential and specific
Pairs of students were challenged to complete a Lego
building activity with a difference. Utilising only one set of Lego between
them they were told that one student was in-charge of construction whilst the
other was in charge of the directions of how and what to build.
This resulted in the highlighting of the importance of
breaking things down, seeing patterns in their descriptions in order for their instructions
to be clearly understood and in abstracting concepts in order to get the job
In the next session this activity will be replicated but
with the emphasis being on timing.
