Oakleigh State School offers a number of opportunities for parent and carers to communicate with teachers.
At the beginning of first term, class information sessions are held by teachers. These are advertised in the newsletter and are typically held after school. This is a great opportunity to hear about the expectations for students in the class and will outline classroom management strategies, homework responsibilities and outline any camps and excursions planned throughout the year.
In terms two and three parent teacher interviews are offered. A link is sent out through the parent liaison network and parents are invited to book a 10 minute time to discuss your child's learning with their class teacher. Informal discussions are available at the teacher's discretion.
