This iteration of Learning@OSS is very similar to last year’s approach. We have done this deliberately in order to make the transition as smooth as possible for students, parents and staff.
Documents which introduce you to Learning@OSS include:
1. A ‘Getting started’ document for parents (and perhaps older students)
2. Summary of Learning@OSS materials
3. A daily overview of learning (year 6 example given)
The ‘Getting started’ document explains the way that learning at home will be delivered. It provides supporting information and videos that might assist parents in setting children up for learning. This document gives you a timeline on when and where learning activities will be available.
The Summary of Learning@OSS materials document provides you with a clear indication of when and how learning materials will be available.
The daily overview identifies the learning for the day. This document is structured in a consistent way across the school. Each lesson identified has a corresponding lesson in Seesaw (P-3) or Showbie (Years 4-6).
Students who need to attend school onsite will be supervised to engage with the same materials as those at home. They will be supervised by a teacher or teacher aide. An email requesting that parents register the attendance of children at school will be sent in the next few hours.
If you do not have access to a device for your child or family, please email the.principal@oakleighss.eq.edu.au as soon as possible.
Communication will continue to be a key to our collective success. As always, please email your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns about your child’s learning.
